
What is gram flour ?
Gram flour or besan is a pulse flour made from a type of ground chana dal. It is a staple ingredient in the cuisine of the Indian subcontinent, including in Indian, Bangladeshi, Burmese, Nepali, Pakistani, and Sri Lankan cuisines. Besan is the Indian name for gram flour. Color of gram flour varies from light yellowish to dark yellow. The texture of flour is very smooth and fine.
Gram flour, also known as garbanzo bean flour, chickpea flour, or besan, is a pulse flour made from ground chickpeas. It is also a wonderful ingredient for gluten free baking and vegetarian dishes.
It is commonly used in cooking, gram flour can be used as an ingredient in a number of different recipes in other parts of South and Southeast Asia. These recipes include bonda, pakoras, papadums, onion bhajis, Bhujia and Burmese tofu. It is Naturally gluten-free and protein packed.
They are a rich source of copper, a good source of folate and zinc, and a source of protein, vitamin A, and iron and also very high in dietary fiber and hence a healthy source of carbohydrates for persons with insulin sensitivity or diabetes.
Gram flour is also commonly used as a paste with water or yoghurt to make a popular facial exfoliant in the Indian subcontinent.It is used for treating acne.It also helps control excess sebum production and soothes inflamed skin.

Home made gram flour face pack for skin
For flawless skin
Ingredients
2 teaspoon of gram flour
1 teaspoon of yogurt
1/4 teaspoon of turmeric powder
1 teaspoon of lemon juice
Method
Mix two teaspoons of gram flour, 1 teaspoon of yogurt, 1/4 teaspoon of turmeric and 1 teaspoon of lemon juice in a small bowl.
Apply your face for 20 minutes,
Wash it off with warm water.
You can try this face pack for 2 – 3 times a week.
You will see better results.

For glowing skin
Ingredients
2 teaspoon of milk cream
1 teaspoon of gram flour
pinch of turmeric powder
Method
Take a small bowl, add two teaspoon of milk cream, 1 teaspoon of gram flour, a pinch of turmeric powder and mix well.
Apply your face and neck , leave it until for 25 minutes.
Rinse with plain water.
You can try this face pack for 2 – 3 times a week.

Ingredients
2 teaspoons of gram flour
1 teaspoon of yogurt
1 teaspoon of lemon juice
Method
In a small mixing bowl, add two teaspoons of gram flour, 1 teaspoon of yogurt and 1 teaspoon of lemon juice and mix well.
Apply your face and neck leave it until for dried naturally.
Rinse with plain water.

For oil skin
Ingredients
2 teaspoon of gram flour
3 teaspoon of milk
Method
Mix two teaspoon of gram flour and 3 teaspoons of milk in a bowl.
Apply it your face for 20 minutes.
Wash it off with plain water.

For dry skin
Ingredients
1/2 teaspoon of gram flour
1 teaspoon of milk cream
1.2 teaspoon of honey
1 pinch of turmeric powder
Method
Take a small bowl, add gram flour, milk cream, turmeric powder, honey and make a paste.
Apply it all over face and leave it until for dried naturally.
Rinse it with plain water.
